Intersectionality Workshop: Beyond the Buzz
Come Join us on Saturday, May 20, 2017 for an interactive seminar from 1-3pm with one hour reception to follow @ City Gym KC.
How do you understand the concept of Intersectionality?
The term “Intersectionality” is the latest buzz in matters of Social Justice, a movement that has been 30 years in the making. Not simply a buzz, intersectionality is a lived experience within a framework.
How can you apply intersectionality to your life?
Bring your questions and learn:
- A brief history on intersectionality,
- How to discuss it among friends and colleagues, and
- How it can inform your day-to-day and life decisions.
This interactive seminar will show you ways to take deliberate daily action and how to live as a do’er of Intentional Justice™ Come to deepen your interest and expand your knowledge as a conscious connector.
This event is open to all who are interested in expanding their knowledge while embracing the actions you’ll be called to take as a result
Please join us at the reception to follow (beer and wine will be available) to further connect with fellow participants.
This event is sponsored by City Gym, Waldo. City Gym is committed to whole-person wellness.
